Skoda Fabia – All You Like to Know 2021
Skoda unveils the latest Fabia hatchback fourth generation for foreign markets worldwide earlier this week. The Skoda Fabia is assisted by the MQB-A0 Architecture of Volkswagen Group and represents a major leap in scale, appearance, interior and features, as well as the motorway department compared with its predecessor. So here is a deeper peek in the 10 short indicators of 2021 Skoda Fabia.
The latest Skoda Fabia has a length of 4,107 mm, a width of 1,780 mm, a height of 1,460 mm and a 2,564 mm wheel foundation. The upcoming Fabia has increased by 110mm and 48mm respectively, compared to the third-gene model, which was skipped for India. Meanwhile, the wheelbase has risen by 94mm.
Styling may be one of the latest Fabia’s styles, but aside from its fantastic appearance, the body is a lot smarter with a drag factor of 0.28, which is an increase over the 0.32 Drag coefficient of its predecessors. Which all contributes to fuel economy and agility.
Highlights in external design
2021 Skoda Fabia runs on aluminium wheels of 18 inch. Quite rare but trendy for this size hatchback. More spectrum of Fabia version is also available for roofing, side mirror caps and front grille frame, in a contrasting Black Magic or Graphite grey hue.
The latest Fabia has absolute LED headlights and tail lamps and looks striking in classic Skoda style. One of the current Fabia’s main features is the panoramic sunroof, which is something once again not used so often on hatchbacks. It also gets grid-mounted radar and protection and assistance device sensors like Park Assist, which run up to 40 km/h.
Skoda’s latest family interior look has fully refurbished the interior of the new Fabia. The highlights, like most new vehicle interiors, are the two big displays – the optical instrument panel has a 10,25 inch and the infotainment display has a touch screen of 9.2 inches.
Other features of a standout
The new Fabia has a long-range of features including two-field automation climate control, two-speed heated steering wheels, smart car software, heated windscreen, LED environment lighting, intelligent crossing control, blind spot alert, central ventilation for rear seats and many more. The new Fabia is well equipped.
Features ‘Simply smart’
Building on the brand label, Fabia throws in several clever touches, such as the front passenger seat fold-backrest, two front-seat storage pockets, a reversible sun visor, a rear-view mire USB-C port to control the dashcam, and a removable cup holder.
Option for Basic Engine
Coming to the top of the windshield, a 1.0l MPI engine begins in two tuned states: 65hp/95Nm and 80hp/95Nm. This motor is fitted with a manual five-speed gearbox. The Fabia with the 1.0L MPI engine will sprint in 15.5 seconds from 0 to 100 kph until a maximum speed of 172 kmph can be achieved in its higher specified speed.
TSI engine of higher spec
The 1.0L TSI engine will be mounted next up and both in tune two states – 95hp/175Nm and 110hp/200Nm. While a 5-speed manual gearbox comes with the former, the latter is sold with a 6-speed manual or an automatic 7-speed DSG transmission. Fabia will run from 0-100 km/h in a matter of 9. 5 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 205 km/h using a 1.0L TSI 7-speed DSG powertrain.
Plans for the future
The TSI 4-cylinder cards for many overseas markets also have a larger 1.5L motor. This motor generates peak torque of 150hp and 250Nm. At a later date, a mild-hybrid drive may also be released.
